A few years ago I interned at a nonprofit organization in Boston. Eventually, this internship became my first real job as I was promoted and given a desk. As a second semester college student this was quite an accomplishment—even though it was just a desk among many others in an office.
My dear mother bought me a very cool plant to put on my desk. I tried to take care of it, but failed miserably. My co-worker, who had many plants at home, offered to take care of my plant for a few weeks. She succeeded and taught me how to keep it alive. Read More.
